A judge in the Malden District Court suppressed evidence of drug distribution found by police in a rented garage pursuant to a search warrant. The judge agreed with Attorney Goldenberg that the police’s application for the search warrant was deficient; specifically, the police failed to inform the court of information known to them that doubt on their informant’s credibility. The judge also found that too much time had passed from when they received information until the search warrant was actually executed.
