Presentation for the Suffolk Lawyers for Justice 2019 annual conference

On Wednesday June 26th I had the pleasure of presenting at the Suffolk Lawyers for Justice annual training conference held at UMass Boston. I spoke about violations of restraining orders. Participants, who are all experienced criminal defense lawyers, were surprised to learn that someone can be convicted of violating a restraining order for a Facebook post even if the person who sought the RO is blocked from seeing your posts. Seriously. There’s a case on it. Commonwealth v. Forcier, 102 N.E.3d 428 (Mass. App. 2018) (unpublished). You’ve been warned
