Another one of my clients benefited from Amendment 821 to the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines which permits a sentencing reduction for qualifying individuals with no criminal record before their federal conviction. Not everyone without a prior record qualifies, so it is important to review the qualifications and consult with an attorney if you are not sure about whether a loved one could benefit.
