Attorney Goldenberg Convinced Judge Not To Issue Restraining Order Against Her Client

Attorney Goldenberg Convinced a judge in the Somerville District Court not to issue a restraining order against him. The Plaintiff presented lengthy and dramatic testimony about alleged conduct that annoyed and angered her but did not meet the legal standard for such an order. Attorney Goldenberg showed through cross-examination that the allegations had little substance and convinced the judge not to issue the order. Had the Plaintiff been granted the order, the client would have been prevented from going to the gym where they both worked out and would be at risk of being falsely accused of violating the order, which is a criminal offense.

Many judges grant restraining order very freely so anyone who has been served with notice about a restraining order needs an experienced restraining order lawyer to keep the order from being issued.
